Insta-Save Privacy Policy

Insta-Save is a personal bookmarking and organization tool. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. The short version: your library is private to you, we don't sell data, and you can delete everything at any time.

What we collect

• Account information. A random account identifier. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the identity token Apple issues (and your name, if you share it). Guest accounts have no personal identifiers at all.
• Content you save. When you share a public Instagram post to Insta-Save, we store the link, the publicly available video/image and caption, and the author's public username for attribution.
• Generated data. To make your saves useful we generate transcripts of the audio, summaries, categories, tags, and search indexes. These are stored privately in your library.
• Push token. If you enable notifications, the device token Apple provides, used only to tell you a save is ready.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.
• We never post, re-share, or publish anything on your behalf. Your library is visible only to you.
• We never ask for, store, or use your Instagram credentials, and we only process publicly accessible posts.

Service providers

Your data is processed by the following infrastructure providers under their own security and privacy commitments: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Railway (application hosting), Anthropic (AI analysis of captions and transcripts to generate summaries and categories), and Apple (sign-in and push notifications). Audio transcription runs on our own servers.

Retention and deletion

Your saves are kept until you delete them. Deleting a save removes its media files, transcript, and search data immediately. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) removes your entire library and account record. Guest accounts and their libraries become permanently inaccessible when the app is deleted.

Content ownership

Content you save belongs to its original creators. Insta-Save stores it solely for your personal reference, always displays the original author, and links back to the original post.

Children

Insta-Save is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll note it in the app and update the date above.
